Question: We own Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS90). We are in the process of upgrading to version Sage 100 ERP 4.5 how do we download the 4.5 version onto our server from Sage and get onto our server without having to burn a CD disk?
In the past we have just burned a CD from the IOS file that downloads from Sage. But there is a better way to do this that will convert the IOS file directly into an installable file.
Answer: If you have any questions about the answer below, please consult with your Sage 100 ERP consultant or you can contact me, Mike Renner. See contact information below...
1) Go to Sage North America's website and click on Product Resources. There you will see the download links:
2) Create a folder on the server that you can point the downloadable file to and then click the Sage 100 ERP Version 4.5 download link. Then on the download page click the Sage ERP 90, 200 and SQL link. This will download a file that you can click on and run.
3) Run the file and then change the destination to the folder you have created, this will download the ISO file.
4) You will then want to download a Zip program onto the server, you can search for and download JZIP which is no charge.
5) Then go the folder that the IOS file is in Right click and select extract files, and point to the folder you have created.
6) Once the extraction is complete you will have a copy of the install disk on your server, and you can install by clicking the Autorun Icon.
