Workflow 2.0 Self-Service for Employees
The new self-service feature is all about autonomy for your employees. Users can manage and edit their own personal information in Dynamics GP, such as their address and phone number, emergency contact data and dependents. They can also maintain a list of any continuing education courses and tests and view their training history in the Employee Skills and Training Window.
Introduced in Dynamics GP 2013, Workflow 2.0 gets even better in Dynamics GP 2015. The improved native workflows help streamline financials, AR and AP, sales, payroll, and project expense related approvals, making it easier for the end-user to customize and accelerate business processes. Users will be able to process batches in a more streamlined fashion and have better control over the set-up and editing of vendors.
Human Resources Workflow Pending Approval Navigation List
Workflow improvements also include the Human Resources Workflow Pending Approval Navigation List, a single location for managers to view and approve employee self-service changes and all assigned tasks including Employee Profile, Employee Skills, Payroll W4, Payroll Timecards, and Payroll Direct Deposit. Multiple tasks are easily reviewed and approved by managers simply by checking boxes and selecting an action.
Account User Authentication
Account User Authentication is a simple feature that improves the user experience by providing more capabilities for single sign-on. Users can now log into the Dynamics GP Web Client using the same credentials they use for Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and many other cloud applications. The big benefit of this feature is that users only need to update their password once and the change will be applied across all of their applications.
