Happy New Year 2013

Use Time and Attendance Software to Automate Holiday Pay Calculations

Did you know that many U.S. employers recognize 10 federal holidays, if not more?

Does your company celebrate an unusual holiday?  Mardi Gras in Louisiana anyone? Caesar Chavez Day in California?  Save yourself from additional payroll processing work by updating your time clocks to automate your paid holidays within your time keeping system.  In addition, your employees see which holidays will be celebrated at a glance, all within your time and attendance system.

It's quick and easy to load all of your holidays once a year and breeze through payroll processing after enjoying your long weekends.  Let us show you how to automate holiday pay calculation!

Most companies commonly provide nine or ten paid holidays per year as public holidays, although there is no standard for any company. Federal holidays, or legal public holidays, are recognized by Congress but are not observed by all employers and can range from organization to organization.

Here is a list of legal public holidays:

  • New Year's Day, January 1
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the third Monday in January
  • Washington's Birthday, the third Monday in February
  • Memorial Day, the last Monday in May
  • Independence Day, July 4
  • Labor Day, the first Monday in September
  • Columbus Day, the second Monday in October
  • Veterans Day, November 11
  • Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November
  • Christmas Day, December 25

Happy New Years!
