Question: Mike, we own Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS90), we just purchased Sage Fixed Assets which we would like to install and access from Sage 100 ERP Desktop. How does Sage Fixed Assets install?

Answer: For Sage 100 ERP version 4.5 Sage Fixed Assets can be purchased as an add-on product and can be accessed from inside of Sage 100 ERP. Additionally, it can be accessed from the client installation. This article will explain the procedure for the installation of the server and client for Sage Fixed Assets.

Step one:  Prior to installing the new version it is suggested prior versions of Sage Fixed Assets be removed.

Step two:  After you purchase the license you will need to download from the Sage Portal. The download can be accessed from the Sage Fixed Assets section.

You can download and run the program into the downloads folder, by doing this it will start the installation process.

Step three: After  the installation starts there will be a series of Next Buttons. The installation will install into the Default directory SFAServ as shown below.

Step Four:  The Database Engine Name will be SageFAS_Engine with protocol tcpip and click Next. The installation will finish upon completion.

Step Five:  The client can be installed by double clicking the Setup.exe file located in the SFAServ/Depreciation Network folder:
