Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS 90): Fixed Assets Installation Error

Written by Mike Renner | Thu, Jan 17, 2013

Question: Mike, we own Sage 100 ERP (formerly Sage MAS90), as well as the Fixed Assets Module in version 4.5

We installed Fixed Assets onto our server and are getting this error when trying to set up the Fixed Assets Accounting Link, what happened?

Answer: The answer to this is that you must also install the Fixed Asset client at each of the Workstations that you will be running and accessing Fixed Assets.

Step 1: Using a UNC path install the client: i.e. \\Servername\FASServ\Fas100setup then run the setup.exe which will install the client on the workstation.

Note: If it is a Windows 7 or Vista machine, you will need to right click and install as administrator.

Step 2: Go into the Programs from the Start menu, and you will then be able to run the Sage Fixed Assets Program.

Step 3: You should now be able to access and setup the Fixed Assets module (i.e. the link) from inside of Sage 100 ERP.
