Question: Mike, we own Sage 100 ERP (formally Sage MAS90). When is an employer required to do Federal e-filing and report for W2 and 1099 reporting, and is there a program that Sage 100 ERP has that can assist with this?

Answer: At or above 250 or more W-2 or 1099 forms.

  1. There is a Sage 100 ERP Module Magnetic Media Reporting. The Magnetic Media Reporting module provides the capabilities for reporting wage and payment information from the Payroll and Accounts Payable modules and 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, and 1099-MISC information on electronic media required by the federal government.
  2. Additionally is recent releases of Sage 100 ERP Federal and State e-Filing and Reporting has been provided as part of the installation disk. This is subscription based. Federal and State e-Filing and Reporting can be installed on the Workstation of the person doing reporting.
  3. Once installed tasks for Federal and State eFiling and Reporting will appear in Payroll period end.
  4. The user must then signup with Sage Online to complete the subscription.
