Dynamics AX 2012 Delivers Powerful and Easy Microsoft Office Add-in

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is a powerful and easy to use solution to help you manage your critical business processes.  Microsoft promotes and develops this solution as one that is “Simple, Agile, and Powerful.”  With this motto in mind, we are happy to report that Microsoft has made significant improvements to the Microsoft Dynamics AX brand resulting in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. 

Today we would like to focus on the Microsoft Office Add-in and how it makes life easier for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 customers.  The add-in allows you to share business data from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 with Microsoft Office. In our video example below you will meet Wendy, a finance manager.  Wendy demonstrates how easy it is to pull the information she needs from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and puts it into a Microsoft Excel worksheet. Now she and her team can revise the worksheet data and this data will also be updated in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 as well.

In this video  above you will watch as Mark, a sales manager, generates a sales quote. Using Microsoft Word, Mark can link fields in his template to “live” information in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. Linked fields can be added with just a few clicks of the mouse. The document is then made available for use with current information from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 inserted and updated real-time within Microsoft Word.

You will see lots of benefits from being able to access information from the Microsoft Office tools you are familiar with already. With the new ribbon interface, you will be able to save time and eliminate duplicate entries. This add-in will ensure you are always working with accurate information by simply refreshing data from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 when needed.
