Answer: Copying data from one Sage 100 ERP system to another is fairly straightforward. Your CPA should have the same version or a higher version than you have.
Step one: Using Windows Explorer or My Computer find the MAS_XXX folder, where XXX is the 3 number company code and copy it. I our case we are copying company ABC.
Step two: Open up another Windows Explorer window and paste the MAS_XXX to and external device such as a CD or zip drive.
Step three: On the CPA’s computer repeat steps two and three and copy the MAS_XXX fold into the MAS90 folder.
Step four: On the CPA’s computer go to Company Maintenance and setup the new company with the same three digit code and Accept, this will create a new company and the data should now be available.
