I am writing this on my 3rd day as a new employee of Equation Technologies. We are a Sage 300 ERP consultant firm specializing in consulting, implementation, training and integration for Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac). I was invited to a client meeting on my first day and I was impressed with the level expertise our ERP consultants deliver to clients who are facing a wide variety of challenges. As Sage 300 ERP consultants, it is our business to know our clients business and act as their trusted advisor to understand their challenges. We have worked with hundreds of clients over the few decades and work to solve business challenges with our experience and our understanding of technology. The relationships that develop with our clients over the years often become very deep and personal. The meeting that day was focused around transitioning the client from another ERP consulting firm because there were some upgrade requests on the client side that exceeded the capabilities of their previous provider. We often adopt new clients who are already using Sage 300 but are not realizing the full potential of the software for their business.
My background is solid in technology, business development and operations and it was clear that this client was not using Sage 300 the fullest potential in their business environment. It quickly became obvious that Erica Burles (founder of Equationtech.us and my boss) was extraordinarily well versed in addressing the concerns and issues of the client. She was able to relate to their challenges and address how they can be solved by taking advantage of some features in Sage 300 that were not being used in their business.
The CFO of the client's company looked quite relieved once he explained his situation and then Erica started making suggestions. He was surprised to learn about some of the tools within Sage 300 ERP that they had access to along but were not taking advantage of for years. ERP tools are easy to use once properly set up and comprehensive tools like Sage 300 ERP require deep expertise to fully understand. We find that Sage 300 ERP customers are happiest when they work with an experienced Sage 300 ERP consultant who has made a career of understanding how ERP systems like Sage 300 can be delivered to each business’ unique requirements. ERP consultants must understand the business and related systems at a hyper granular level and at the macro overall picture level. This requires the ability to create integration into multiple hardware/software systems, an understanding of the existing system environments and expert level experience with multiple business industries and their special needs.
If you are already using Sage 300 ERP and feel you are not using it to the fullest capacity, then it makes sense to contact us. Perhaps you are a business owner looking to make that leap into something more sophisticated than something like QuickBooks. If so, then your ideal Sage 300 ERP consultant would have a CPA license, business ownership experience and expert level system integration and networking experience. It would be a great bonus if they were also a pleasant and fun person to engage with along the way. This is Erica and her team at Equation Technologies. In observing the entire Equation Technologies team, it is apparent that she only hires people who deliver a similar standard.
I could not be happier in my new job where I get to work with a group of highly capable people who are exceptionally versed in the product we represent. This team focuses on customer service and makes sure the customer gets the most value possible of their Sage 300 ERP investment.
If you are looking at a potential system overhaul, you owe it to yourself to give us a call. We conduct a free needs analysis to determine whether we might be a fit, and if we are not we will even point you in the right direction.
