Retail Systems Research (RSR) and SPS Commerce release industry benchmark report

Retail_systems_research.pngSPS Commerce is excited to share their fourth annual benchmark survey, conducted in collaboration with Retail Systems Research (RSR), Retail Insight 2016. A must read for anyone in the retail supply chain, SPS Commerce leveraged their expansive ecosystem of retailers, suppliers, logistics firms, system integrators and more to uncover key insights regarding this year’s landscape.

Pete Zaballos, SPS Commerce Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management, and Paula Rosenbaum, RSR managing partner, presented a webinar recently that provided a summary of the report. Diving into some of the hard data, the webinar breaks down the facts and figures of this industry benchmark survey. Missed the live webinar? Watch the archive here.

While Retail Insight 2016 yields an expansive collection of industry insights, perhaps some of the most glaring results relate to the necessity of collaboration within the retail supply chain. For example:

  • 75% of retailers rank e-commerce sales as their top priority;
  • 80% of suppliers cite streamlined fulfillment as their top priority, yet 45% struggle with omnichannel strategy;
  • 80% of distributors and 41% of logistics providers place rapid fulfillment above all else.

 There’s much more where that came from. By providing a holistic approach to the retail supply chain, Retail Insight 2016 serves as an essential benchmark tool for all industry parties. Download Retail Insight 2016 today.
