Scanco recently announced the availability of Sage Mobility for Barcode for Sage 100/100c. This is an exciting release for our Sage distribution and manufacturing clients who need to improve warehouse management.  As Sage and Scanco business partners, we are available to help you determine if this affordable and mobile option is a good choice for you. 

What is Sage Mobility for Barcode? 

Sage Mobility for Barcode is the new and improved Barcode Module for Sage 100/100cloud version 2018.  Sage Mobility for Barcode has been designed to get customers started with the world of Mobility. The new interface gives users the capability to automate their physical count process by using an iOS or Android device to collect data and have it captured in Sage 100/100cloud. Sage 100cloud users can get even more functionality with the Scanco Sales app. Scanco Sales enables mobile sales teams the ability to create, update, and view sales orders of customers from a mobile device.

Sage Mobility for Barcode - Sage100 and Sage 100Cloud / Sage 100c Users in Version 2018

  1. What version of Sage 100 and what’s included?  Mobility is available for Sage 100/100cloud 2018. It includes Updated Rejection Screens, Enhanced reporting, Improved import tools, and most importantly a 5 pack of users for Scanco Mobility which will automate your cycle or physical counts using an iOS or Android Device. Sage 100cloud users also receive all the upgrades along with a 5 pack of Scanco Sales to automate sales order entry.
  2. What if I currently have the Barcode Module?  When you upgrade to Sage 2018, the Barcode Module will be re-named in Sage 100/100cloud with its new name Mobility for Barcode. Upon completion of the upgrade, you will have access to all the new tools for version 2018.
  3. How do I get the mobile apps?  Decide on the preferred mobile platform, iOS or Android. Go to the app store for either iOS or Android and search for Scanco Mobility.
  4. What are major benefits of Mobility?  It allows for Sage 100 users to get started in the world of mobility and seeing the benefits first hand without having an upfront investment. It gives long-time users more functionality based on their feedback.
  5. Do I have to have a barcode scanner?  No, the Mobility Module for Barcode and Scanco Mobility do not require a barcode scanner. As you can imagine though, it will only speed up the process if you do add on a scanner sled.
